ECFC Names Christa Day as New Executive Director

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ECFC, the leading nonprofit organization promoting choice in benefit solutions, announced today that Christa Day has been named new Executive Director.

“We are thrilled to have Christa join our team as new Executive Director,” said Jody Dietel, Chair of the ECFC Board of Directors. “Her leadership skills and experience in association management will help us continue our strong healthcare consumerism advocacy on behalf of our members and American workers.”

Day succeeds Martin Trussell, who is retiring after more than 30 years in the healthcare benefits industry. He has served as Executive Director of ECFC since 2016.

“We want to extend our appreciation to Marty for his years of service and many contributions at ECFC,’’ Dietel said. “He helped lead our organization through numerous important advocacy initiatives and issues, including the repeal of the Cadillac Tax.”

Prior to joining ECFC, Day served as North American Regional Director at AGN International and Director of Chapter Relations, Mid-Atlantic Region for the American Inns Court Foundation.

An active volunteer, speaker and content contributor in the association management profession, Day received the “40 Under 40” Award from the Association Forum in 2017.

Day has a B.A in Music and a M.A. in Arts Management from George Mason University. She also has a Certificate, Special Events Management in Arts from George Mason. She lives in Annapolis, Maryland.
